Welcome to our 2nd Auction of 2026

to be held on the 10th March

As we head towards the Spring months and the days are lighter for longer, we try our best to facilitate as many open house viewings as possible.  It is imperative that you view lots before you bid, you would be surprised at the number of successful bidders who purchase at all price levels without a viewing.  If you can’t make it to our open house viewings, we offer a personalised viewing service on a number of lots.  These are livestream viewings over various products such as facetime, they are subject to availability and subject to a small charge. If you would like to book this service for a particular lot, please email lucia.pincott@barnardmarcus.co.uk.

Your auction purchase is likely to be one of the largest value purchases you make regardless of whether buying for your next home, an investment or business venture to modernise and sell on.  It is important that you come to the auction well prepared and for this reason, we have a comprehensive guide available via this website.  My team here at Barnard Marcus and our regional auction centres are here to help and we would love to hear from you.  Why not try a call rather than an email.  So much more can be explained over the phone and, if the conversation then leads to additional questions it’s going to save you a lot of time by having a chat rather than extensive back and forth by email.  Apart from anything else, we love to chat with our prospective buyers, it’s just a bit more informative and personal!

Once you have done all your prep work for the auction, so, not only inspecting the property but also sharing the legal pack with your solicitor or conveyancer and, arranging your finances, you need to be ready for the auction.  Uniquely at our sale, you can attend the auction and bid in-person, we are the only national auction house that offers this route to bidding and trust me, it is absolutely the best way to bid.  There’s no risk to your internet connection or phone signal dropping out at the critical moment and you missing out if you are at our venue of The De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Great Queen Street next to Covent Garden in Central London.

Of course, we give you choice so, if you can’t attend and wish to bid by phone or via the livestream internet, you are welcome to do so but please, start your registration days before the auction so we can process this and have you approved to bid.  The online bidder registration is improved for 2026, we trialled it at our February auction and I’m sure you will find it easier to use than the previous version but, there’s still nothing like coming to the sale and experiencing the excitement of a real auction saleroom for yourself.

So, at this sale to be held on 10th March, we will kick off early and offer over 300 lots on one day.  There’s a huge amount of choice available and likely to be additional post print lots added in the first week of marketing.  The best way to learn about these and receive regular auction updates is to subscribe to our electronic mailing list.  We promise not to flood you with too many emails but, this is the best way to receive updates, early notices of forthcoming lots and so much more, just sign up to "Auction Alerts" on our home page and be amongst the first to receive updates and exciting property opportunities.

We look forward to chatting with you in the lead up to the auction, very much hope you will come to the sale rather than bid remotely, there are free refreshments available throughout the day and, if you are a successful buyer, take up our offer of a glass of bubbly to celebrate whilst you are signing your contract.

We wish you the best of luck with your bidding on 10th March!
