Introducing our September online Auction sale

Welcome to this, our 7th major national auction sale of the year and recommences the autumn season of auctions.

As you are now well used to, this is an online only auction taking place across two days.  Bidders have to register well in advance of the auction and in line with government requirements we have to undergo a process of identification checks with you to allow you to bid, these identification checks include an online verification through Credas so it is important that you register to bid as early as possible.

The requirements of a buyer to be a prudent purchaser are exactly the same in this online auction as the sales held in our auction venues prior to Covid 19.  Buyers must be aware that when you click to bid, you are clicking to buy, this is not a conditional auction and an exchange of contracts occurs at the close of each individual lot to the highest bidder, subject to that bid being above the reserve price.

Buyers must ensure that they have not only registered to bid but carried out their due diligence and this includes seeking advice and reading the legal pack which will include Special Conditions of Sale.  Buyers are reminded that in some circumstances a seller may require a contribution towards the costs payable at completion and by bidding you are confirming that you are aware of this and all other matters contained not only in the legal pack but the Special Conditions of Sale which are unique to each and every property.

In line with Covid secure procedures, and to comply with track and trace requirements, we will ask you to complete a questionnaire prior to attending any of our open house viewings.  This questionnaire is available to download from this website or will be forwarded to you and without the completed questionnaire, we cannot permit access to any of our properties on the open viewing days.  Our agents will have these questionnaires with them and this procedure is to ensure your safety as much as everybody else’s including our viewing agents and I would ask you to comply with their requests at each viewing for which we have allowed significant additional time to facilitate everybody who wishes access to the property to have it.

As you flick through this auction catalogue bear in mind the current state of the economy and way you might invest your money.  Whilst many people like to see a bank balance I would question whether this is a prudent saving policy especially with interest rates available to savers these days.  Currently we are enjoying environment where mortgage interest rates remain at an all-time low with banks keen to lend and what better opportunity as the economy returns to some degree of normality, people returning to their work place and of course children and other students returning to school, college and universities, demand for housing and those wishing to move can only increase.

The catalogue contains submissions from our regional auction centres and you will see these contact details within this printed catalogue for you to call the local centre and discuss any of the lots that are available and being offered by them as they will have the unique local knowledge and inside of these properties to assist you with your enquiries.

We welcome you to the online auction and although we won’t be meeting you on the day we are here to assist not only in the lead up to the auction but on the auction day itself so if you do have any enquiries please do not hesitate to call my team or my regional teams located throughout the country.

Wishing the best of luck with your bidding.
