Introducing our July auction sale

Welcome to our sixth auction of the year with this sale bringing to a close our summer season of auctions. We shall take a short break from the rostrum in August, returning in September where we will be holding sales every month until the end of the year.

The main and supplementary catalogue published for this sale means we will have a busy day offering over 250 lots. In fact this is our largest volume auction since March last year and is a catalogue packed full of opportunities for owner/occupiers, developers, investors and others.

We are of course heading towards the summer holiday weeks so, if you are planning to buy at this auction there is some additional essential things you must do.

First of all, if you are going to be away on holiday for the auction sale itself you don’t need to worry. You can still bid by phone or proxy so, you can buy at this Barnard Marcus auction while sunbathing on the beach!

You should also remember that your regular solicitor or licensed conveyancer may be away on holiday themselves so make sure they are available, or have a stand in to receive the contract following the auction and are available to deal with matters in readiness for completion. If you have any difficulties and your solicitor or licensed conveyancer is unavailable please contact us because we have a huge panel of solicitors and licensed conveyancers that are working and we will be delighted to assist with your requirements.

You will be aware that we no longer accept cheques for payments of deposit at the auction so you need to make sure you have the ability to pay your deposit either by debit card or with an online transfer. Again, if you are going to away during the auction or in the weeks following, especially around the completion date, make sure funds are with your solicitors/conveyancer in good time.

There is another consideration for this auction, not only will you be able to take advantage of the continued low interest rates, there is of course the possibility that while others are away on holiday and not bidding, it could be that you face less competition in the auction room itself and who knows, there could be some great deals to be had!

As always we are here to assist in the lead up to the auction and legal documents are available for you to download free of charge from this website.

No matter how small your enquiry may seem, please call the team here at Barnard Marcus Auctions and we will answer any questions you have and assist you to make sure that you are a prudent buyer for the auction sale itself.

Wishing you the best of luck with your bidding at the auction on Tuesday 30th July at the Grand Connaught Rooms.
