Introducing our 29th June Auction sale

Welcome to our Summer Sale to be held on Wednesday 29th June.  This is our 5th Auction of the year and will take us to over 1,200 lots already offered this year with sales up to our May auction now exceeding £106 Million.

This huge catalogue of some 300 lots is steeped full of opportunities and yes, we will be holding this as a live ballroom auction.  On the day, we’ll start the auction at 9:30am prompt and for those who may be wondering, yes, we will get through all the lots in one day.  Our sale is different to many auctioneers in that it is a live Ballroom auction at The Grand Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, London, right near Covent Garden.

Whilst you may pre register and bid via the internet or, similarly pre register for a telephone bid I advise against this approach.  By coming to the venue and bidding in person you not only get a real feel for the atmosphere of our sales, but also bid in an open and transparent way in which the bidders can react to the room, with competitive bids and have far greater input and control than simply clicking a mouse.

Our lives are back to normal, we are going shopping, out for meals, on holiday (provided the flights aren’t cancelled) and all the things we did pre Covid.  A property purchase is probably one of the highest priced items you will ever buy, having done all your research and due diligence, do you really want to have your bidding at the risk of an internet connection dropping away or a mobile phone signal that cuts you off at the critical moment?

I will leave it to you to decide how you wish to engage with the bidding, as always, we offer our customers choice but do encourage you to come to the auction in person, apart from anything else, we can do all your registration when you arrive and if you are bidding at the venue, you don’t have to pay an advance security deposit to enable you to bid.

As I’ve already mentioned, this is a huge catalogue, one of our biggest for many months and it is steeped full of opportunities.  We have a number of new housing association clients offering stock in this and our upcoming auction, many sellers are keen to liquidate assets before the summer and I think you will find some real bargain opportunities available.

Just remember, when you bid at an auction you are bidding to buy, if our gavel falls on your bid you have exchanged a legally binding contract so, before you bid please carry out all your due diligence and seek professional and independent advice, especially in respect to the legal packs and contracts.

We are here to assist you with all your enquiries in the lead up to the sale, so give us a call or send us an email and if for any reason we can’t help with your enquiry, we’ll point you in the direction of someone that can.

I very much hope that you will come to the auction venue and bid in person where we can welcome you face to face. No matter how you engage on the day, we wish you the very best of luck with your bidding!
