Welcome to our 24th June Auction Sale
Welcome to this, our 5th auction sale of the year which marks the halfway point of our scheduled sales for 2025. Following this auction there will be one more on 29th July before we take a quick break from the rostrum and then, a sale every month as usual.
As more bidders are choosing to come to the auction and bid in-person, the atmosphere in our auction room becomes electric and one not to miss. Whilst you can opt to bid remotely either via our live-stream online bidding platform or by telephone, I do wonder whether this really is a good idea given the substantial amount of money you might be spending. Also, why would you opt to miss out on such a great event and not experience the buzz of an auction room first hand?
In fact, we remain the only national auctioneer that gives you this opportunity so, if you do intend to bid or simply want to pop in and see what a real auction is all about, come along to the Grand Connaught Rooms on Tuesday 24th June and experience it for yourself and who knows, you may even pick up a bargain!
This catalogue is steeped full of opportunities throughout the UK. We have a range of services from solicitors and conveyancers to help you out with legal packs and contracts, finance providers offering both short and long term funding solutions and, access to surveyors across the UK to provide their professional advice. So, if you are thinking of buying at auction but not sure where to start, have a look at our buyers guides or, give us a call and we will put you in touch with the right expert to help. There really shouldn’t be any barrier to you bidding at auction and we want to make sure you have a great buying experience at our sale and hopefully, a profitable one.
As you page through the catalogue you will see a range of properties to whet your appetite. We have several commercial investment opportunities, ideal for your SIPP or similar pension plan, along with residential investments so, why buy-to-let when you can buy already let!
The vast majority of lots on offer are vacant residential houses and flats. Some will need a degree of updating and modernisation, others may be somewhat worse and are wholesale redevelopment opportunities but not all. There are plenty of lots that are realistically habitable on the day of purchase, maybe a little upgrading or redecoration would be required but otherwise, ideal for owner occupiers that don’t want to take on a huge project. Many of these will be suitable for mortgage purposes so, if you have this all in place before you bid, you don’t need to be a cash buyer on all the lots on offer and, some great deals could be bought on 24th June.
I encourage you to contact my colleagues both here at the Barnard Marcus Auction centre in London but also, our regional centres in Southampton, Derby, Norwich, Leeds and Cowbridge. Staff in these auction offices have a huge wealth of knowledge, many of them have dealt with 1,000s of lots going under our gavel so, take advantage of their expertise and call or email them no matter how small your question might be.
It remains for me to extend an open invitation for you to come along to the auction on Tuesday 24th June, everyone is welcome and, if you are there to bid or, if you chose to bid online or via the phone, I wish you the very best of luck with your bidding!
