As we move into the summer months, the property market continues to show encouraging levels of activity. The first half of 2026 has demonstrated consistent demand across a wide range of property types, as buyers remain motivated and sellers are increasingly aligned with current market conditions. With longer days and more favourable viewing conditions, June is always one of the most active points in the auction calendar and this sale is no exception.
Across the Connells Group, our network of offices continues to report strong enquiry levels, and this is very much reflected in our auction room. Buyers are well informed, engaged and ready to act, particularly when presented with realistically guided opportunities. Whilst interest rates remain relatively stable, many purchasers have adapted to the current environment and are choosing to proceed with confidence rather than delay their decisions.
For investors and landlords, the fundamentals remain compelling. Rental demand is still strong across much of the UK, supporting healthy yields, and lenders continue to offer a competitive range of buy-to-let products. Equally, owner-occupiers are recognising the benefits of a market where competition, whilst still present, is more measured than in previous years.
